How You Can Help

building

Our Goals

What:

Provide Rochester residents with permanent, affordable, quality supportive housing combined with access to social and educational services in an architecturally attractive, energy - efficient building with on-site parking and with locally proven and expert property management.

Why:

There is a shortage of permanent affordable housing in the City of Rochester. The Eastman Commons facility will replicate proven models that provide tenants with the support they need while instilling a sense of pride in their independent living.

Who:

Individual adult (workers, seniors, veterans, etc.) residents earning less than $26,940 / year, and adult formerly homeless individuals ready for independent living.
All tenants will undergo an application and screening process, sign annual leases and pay rent equaling 30 % of eligible income.

On-site services:

Case management, life skills development, goal planning, credit counseling, money management, and educational assistance along with other health, social and recreational activities.

Where:

Our continuing development focus is within the City Rochester, New York where access to public transportation, service providers and other related independent living amenities are readily and affordably available.
